Director of Business Development
Global electronics company looking for someone to develop and grow digital signage business. Close deals made by sales force. Determine what solutions are required to meet customer needs.
- Develop new business (digital signage) and design solutions for products.
- Act as Project Manager from concept to delivery of products.
- Develop revenue sharing plans.
- Establish and meet sales targets and goals of business channel.
- Work with VP and senior level managers to establish channel strategy in conjunction with directives set forth by senior management.
- Communicate to management market conditions and trends that impact company's success in the market place.
- Develop and execute strategy for trade shows, attend and sell/exhibit product and regional and national industry shows specific to the product line.
- Work with marketing managers to develop advertising schedules and media selection.
- Communicate to the sales team key initiatives, strategy changes, corporate process and procedures.
Direct reporting positions: 4 Financial Accountability: ($) 100 M in business.
Travel: 50%

5 - 10 years in sales team management/electronics experience in LCD/PDP displays

Sr. Reg. General Manager Utilities - Energy
Sr. Regional General Manager Electrical Utility - Energy Develop and execute growth strategies for both key Clients and for the assigned territory that result in sales order successes.
Build and lead virtual enterprise sales teams to serve key Clients and achieve broad, value driven business relationships resulting in profitable revenue growth. Cultivate and maintain long-term influential relationships across all levels of key Client organizations and within the corporation. Reinforce and build upon strategic relationships.
Develop an extensive understanding of assigned Client businesses and effectively tailor our solutions and value propositions to their business drivers. Effectively interface with and represent multiple corporate business lines in support of Client organizations. Identify and qualify new business opportunities to achieve growth objectives.
Lead strategic sales activities for broad scope opportunities with high impact to the business. Manage the sales process from opportunity identification through qualification, strategic pursuit to award. Lead or support effective sales presentations and contract negotiations.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends, territory business trends, Client initiatives, relevant competitor activities, and our strategies and solutions. Participate in interface activities such as trade shows, conferences and events to foster relationships. Perform surveys of key Client personnel to support customer satisfaction goals.
Manage business development budgets and business development events in the territory. Actively use our eCRM system for Client interaction, prospect, and opportunity reporting to support business planning.
Qualifications BS in Engineering, Science or Business. MBA preferred. Minimum 10 years experience in the Energy industry or industry affiliated to Energy with a minimum of 5 years sales experience interacting with enterprise customers.
